What defines self-care? Simply put, its anything you do that helps create a space of peace and tranquility, relaxes your body and mind and allows you to care for YOU! For some, it may be a warm bath and a good book. Others may want an intense workout, or night out with friends. Regardless of what actions you take, self-care should be part of your day-to-day routine. Here are 10 easy self-care habits (that require little effort) to help you find inner peace and a healthier mindset.


  1. Start your day with gratitude. Think about what YOU are thankful for! Write it down, say it out loud, put it on repeat in your mind.

  2. Listen to a podcast. There are so many options today, from motivational to true crime, it's easy to find one that appeals to you.

  3. Get up and move! It's a proven fact that exercise releases endorphins. This is the body's natural anti-depressant.

  4. Relax! Go for a massage, a walk, or simply schedule some quiet time for you.

  5. Set boundaries. Learn to say no and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  6. Speak kindly about yourself. What you say and think can manifest into your real world.

  7. Organize your life. Decluttering a closet or setting up a budget can create a clearer mindset.

  8. Don't procrastinate or feel guilty for taking time for you.

  9. Make your sleep routine a priority. Your body's need to recharge is the ultimate self-care.

  10. Disconnect from technology and embrace being in the moment!
